On December 7, 2023, Weqollab hosted its annual WeqoChallenge, pitting all Weqollaborators against each other to showcase our marketing prowess. While the activity is designed to foster collaboration and keep up with the latest marketing trends, this year holds special significance.
In its commitment to community impact, Weqollab selected Wildflower Studio as our main partner for the event.
The focal point of the WeqoChallenge was to create a 360-degree marketing campaign for the fundraising efforts of Wildflower Studio, a cat-fostering cafe in Singapore. Wildflower Studio goes beyond the conventional rescue centre, as it rehabilitates and rehomes cats while enabling people to bond with them through Art Jam sessions. Furthermore, the studio partners with key foundations, extending the joy of cat companionship to the elderly, patients, and youth, promoting mental health.
The participating Weqollab groups showcased exceptional strengths during the competition:
- Hello Kuting: Displayed out-of-the-box ideas, focusing on micro-philanthropy for donations.
- Alpicamire: Excelled in ease and consistency in social sharing and introduced an irresistible brand mascot.
- Cat-apult: Impressed the brand with robust campaign messaging, understanding the studio’s limitations, and crafting innovative solutions.
In the end, Cat-apult emerged victorious and earned a sweet trip to Bali. The group captured the attention of Wildflower Studio with its strategic alignment with its current marketing efforts and growth objectives.
To really clinch the win, Cat-apult also introduced a flexible revenue management proposition that enables Wildflower Studio to scale the project and agency rates based on the outcomes. The client responded: “Performance-based expensing is vital during this period of financial pressure. The more we raise, the more we pay. This can be applied to other digital revenue streams pioneered by [Weqollab] subsequently–as we grow, the agency grows with us.”
Such ideas are the core of the WeqoChallenge, allowing Weqollaborators to introduce innovative marketing strategies that can bring mutual growth to our partners.
